IMPLEMENTATION OF MINORITIES' RIGHT TO INFORMATION IN MOTHER TONGUE

YIHR's Montenegro Office is launching the Monitoring over Implementation of Minorities' Right to Information in Mother Tongue Project, with support by the Foundation Open Society Institute - Representative Office Montenegro.

The project includes an analysis of implementation of international standards and local legislation in the domain of national minorities' right to be informed in their mother tongue. The monitoring results shall be published in form of a publication and will serve as a basis for future activities in this field.

Implementation of the Project shall start in April 2009 and will be limited to the five municipalities with significant share or majority of minority population living in Montenegro and it shall last for 10 months.
