1. Report on European Integration of Montenegro V

(Center for Euro-Atlantic Policies - CEAP)          EUR 14,000.00

The Center for Euro-Atlantic Policies (CEAP) daily updates the European Reporter portal with all relevant information concerning the EU and the process of Montenegro’s European integration. This includes both articles published in the European media, translated and abridged for local purposes, and reports of local reporters-contributors. CEAP also sends out a weekly electronic newsletter with latest articles to more than two thousand addresses in Montenegro, the region and Europe. The project contributes to an objective perception of Montenegro’ progress in the accession process and identification of key tasks in specific sector policies (environmental protection, transport, agriculture and fishery etc.) required to bring national regulations and practice into compliance with the EU standards.

The new project is a continuation of the ones supported in 2008 and 2009.

 

2. School of European Integration X 

(Center for Civic Education - CGO, Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations - CRNVO, European Movement in Montenegro - EPuCG)          EUR 30,000.00

The project is a sequel to the unique program of alternative education providing knowledge from the fields of economics, European integration and the system of human rights protection in the EU. The tenth generation will consist of 25 participants - NGO activists, political parties’ activists and citizens interested in social activism.

The School provides basic knowledge required to understand the complex processes of European integration and specific aspects of Montenegro’s accession. It also encourages the participants to take up individual activities to promote and embed European standards in contemporary Montenegrin society.

The participants will learn about the following topics: Europe - the concept and aims of European integration; European institutions; EU legislation and other regulations; Economic principles of European integration; European security and mechanisms for human rights protection; Europe ahead and diverse experiences; Montenegro and the EU; Managing EU-funded projects. This year, a three-day visit to Brussels will be organized for the three most successful participants, who will observe the work of EU institutions.

1. E-magazine on corporate social responsibility

(Center for Development of NGOs -CRNVO)          EUR 450.00

The project envisages preparation, publishing and distribution of an e-magazine on corporate social responsibility, which will also be available in English. The magazine will be distributed to more than four thousand addresses of companies, NGOs, public institutions, international organizations and diplomatic offices in Montenegro. 

The magazine is intended to enhance the level of information among representatives of business, public and civil sectors concerning CSR and ways to jointly act to create a climate for CSR development in Montenegro.

The project is a follow-up to Development of corporate social responsibility in Montenegro.

2. Montenegro and the EU  

(Center for Development of NGOs - CRNVO)          EUR 1,831.00

Considering the growing interest in the School of European Integration CRNVO, as one of the organizers of the School together with the Center for Civic Education and European Movement in Montenegro, designed some additional activities.

Two alumni focus groups will be organized in order to obtain suggestions to improve the School. The project will include two lectures by representatives of the EU Delegation in Podgorica.

The lecturers will give a detailed outline of the EU Delegation role, its ongoing activities and opportunities for cooperation and access to EU funds.
