1. Local community involvement in management of protected areas

(NGO Green Home)          EUR 615.00

The project is a follow-up to Cooperation to protect the Cijevna River basin, supported by the Foundation and implemented by the NGO Green Home in cooperation with Tuzi Municipal District.

The Capital City of Podgorica adopted the Local Environmental Action Plan in February 2010. The Plan envisages declaring the Cijevna Basin a nature monument by 2014. The project is one of the preparatory activities of the local community nad local government for the purpose of involvement in protected areas planning and management.

At the training/workshop, representativesof the local community, local government, institutions, non-governemtntal organizations and volunteers will be presented  the obligations and methods of involvement in future activities related to adoption of management plans and identification of priorities and development guidelines in the prospective Cijevna River protected area. The workshop will include a presentation on international organizations concerned with nature protection and their project application procedures.

2. SDL alumni forum

(Nansen Dialog Center - Montenegro)          EUR 1,463.66

The project includes setting up of a School of Democratic Leadership Alumni Forum. The Forum will enable exchange between alumni groups and is expected to improve exchange of information between representatives of relevant political parties and encourage joint initiatives.  

Eight courses of the School were attended by more than 200 participants with background in politics, media, public and non-governmental sectors. 

The School of Democratic Leadership is organized by the Nansen Dialog Center in partnership with the Foundation, OSCE, NDI, Council of Europe and other organizations. It belongs to the network of Schools of Political Studies under the auspices of Council of Europe.
